Morihata Karmi Tea Canister – So

The Karmi collection of tea canisters from Gato is a series of airtight and handcrafted vessels made in the tradition of Yamanaka lacquerware.

 

Each container is crafted from solid Cherry Birch that has been meticulously dried before being expertly turned by a craftsman. Layers of lacquer are applied and dried in a process that takes up to a year to complete. The result is a seemingly machined container that keeps tea leaves, coffee, and spices fresh.
